An APK teardown revealed that Google plans to upgrade the Call Notes tool in its Pixel 9 series, including Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Call Notes in the Google Phone app, powered by Gemini Nano, automatically generates call summaries and writes the important points discussed.

Google is aiming to expand the Call Notes functions using Artificial Intelligence technology. The report found that along with creating summaries, Call Notes possess a “Call-to-do lists” feature.

Android Authority reported in a blog post, “We’ve found code evidence in version 156.0.702757710 of the Google Phone app suggesting that a new “Call To-do List” feature related to Call Notes might be in the works. The code strings correlate “Call To-do List” to “Fermat,” which is the codename for the Call Notes feature.”

In simple words, AI will listen to your calls and make noteworthy to-dos for your guidance. Call notes are already available on Google Pixel devices and are processed locally. Now, the new feature also functions as the previous one and prioritizes safety and privacy. Users will be able to review, copy, and share their Call To-do List with others from the call logs.

According to a report, it also determined that another feature called Google Dialer will come into Pixel phones. The Dialer displays the number of spam calls you declined in a month. Using the Google Dialer, you can track your call logs easily for a better interface.

Google intends to push the boundaries of Call Noted to integrate AI, especially on Pixel devices. Call To-do List and Google Dialer will enhance the user experience to handle calls.
