One UI 7 beta brings security updates to Samsung users

As Samsung announced on 5 December, a new One UI 7 beta program to enhance the AI ecosystem in the future. The latest beta program also brings important security enhancements to smartphones. The One UI 7 beta program will be rolling out for the Samsung Galaxy S Series.

According to Tech Advisor, the One UI 7 beta will bring noteworthy security features available for public release and many changes for Galaxy users. Samsung S24 users can join the beta program via Samsung Members to preview these security measures.

Here are the following One UI 7 beta program features: 

  • Firstly, One UI 7 beta will introduce Knox Matrix, implementing Samsung’s private blockchain for monitoring devices. Further, improve data security using Trust Chain.
  • A new security dashboard to track security status across multiple Samsung devices such as mobile, TVs, and home appliances. It also recommends solutions if any issue is found.
  • Samsung cloud data recovery update can allow users to transfer data. You can easily transfer your data to another device with the previous device lock screen credential if you lost access to a previous device.
  •  Additionally, the Credential Sync feature supports passkeys with biometric authentication for logging into Samsung accounts and connected devices. It facilitates access to household appliances and televisions by eliminating the requirement for passwords.
  • Samsung’s new beta program can block 2G service to prevent devices from connecting to unsafe internet connectivity.
  • The new feature enables users to improve privacy. They can remove location from shared photos, block automatic downloads, and prohibit specific links or previews.
  • Now, Samsung users will block USB access while the device is locked to prevent unwanted access, and it is used for charging only.
  • Identity Check, a new theft protection tool, uses biometric verification when the device is found in an unfamiliar location.
